EPSS management board and project manager visited the activities of #EPSS explosive ordnance risk education trainers in Tigray and Afar regions who had been working under the supervision of #ECHO and #UNMAS. They visited the activities from October 19 to October 27, 2023. During the visit, they observed the awareness raising work around Northwest Shire and Central Tigray, Aksum and confirmed that the education had been given well. They also suggested to the trainers on how the observed gaps should be filled. In addition to this, they observed that Shire leaders who had been trained in Training of Trainers (TOT) were imparting the awareness to the community. The board of directors and the project manager also visited the activities of EPSS members who have been engaged in Tigray central zone and Afar zone 2 (two) to raise awareness, and they understood that the society as a whole has been bringing about a good change in awareness. Then the visiting team returned after completing the visit. #UNMAS leaders also visited Afar Zone 2 and Tigray Central Zone from October 24 to October 29. During their visit, they attended the awareness provided by being present at the place where awareness was given. Taking a look at other procedures of doing activities followed by trainers, they also gave their general constructive and positive feedback to the trainers.
