As it is known, EPSS has been providing Explosive Ordinance Risk Education (EORE) with the support of the Government of Japan, ECHO and UNOPS to the community in Afar and Tigray regions where conflicts and wars were going on. To further provide this education to the community with the support of CDCS, the organization made mutual work agreement with HI.

Moreover, in order to change the agreement in to action, the EPSS Project Manager Mr. Abebe Haile and the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager Dr. Tagese Helore have recruited 9 new members from Axum and Shire who can spread the awareness to the community, and three of the recruited are intended to continue the UNMAS awareness project that has already started.

On top of that, gathering the new and the existing teachers in Axum city for one-day training, sharing of experiences, evaluation of the performance of previous activities, educational discussion and capacity building work were carried out on November 25, 2023. The trained members were also organized into groups to engage in the work in various districts of Tigray.
